Pubali Datta

Graduate Student

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I am advised by Prof. Adam Bates and a part of The Secure & Transparent Systems Laboratory. My research interests include system security and privacy with a focus on serverless cloud security.

The serverless cloud ecosystem consists of numerous loosely-coupled components including end-point devices, apps, online services, automation platforms, and data-stores. The complex interplay among hundreds of heterogeneous components of such systems contribute to an unpredictably large attack surface. My research detects, deters and investigates security attacks within large complex systems through access control, auditing and security analytics – tailored to meet the design and operational requirements of such systems.

I am on the Academic Job Market this year. Please reach out to pdatta2@illinois.edu if you are interested in hiring me!
